Ingredients

Scale

Vegetables

  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 10 oz fresh spinach or frozen spinach, thawed and excess moisture squeezed out

Dairy & Creamy Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Cheeses

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Flavorings & Seasonings

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or paprika, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Drain and roughly chop the artichoke hearts. If using frozen spinach, thaw completely and squeeze out all excess moisture to prevent a watery dip.
  2. Combine the Creamy Base: In a medium bowl, blend softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream together until smooth and creamy to form the rich foundation of the dip.
  3. Add the Cheeses and Seasonings: Stir in grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheeses along with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and any desired spices for seasoning, adding depth and melty texture.
  4. Fold in Veggies: Gently fold the chopped artichokes and prepared spinach into the creamy cheese mixture, ensuring even distribution without breaking up the veggies too much.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Serve Warm: Let the dip cool slightly before serving so it thickens and reaches the perfect consistency for dipping.

Notes

  • Drain Well: Removing excess liquid from spinach and artichokes prevents a watery dip.
  • Use Fresh Garlic: Freshly minced garlic delivers better flavor than garlic powder or pre-minced options.
  • Layer Cheeses: Combining sharp Parmesan with melty mozzarella adds both flavor and texture.
  • Don’t Overbake: Watch the baking time carefully to keep the dip creamy and avoid dryness or excessive browning.
  • Let It Rest: Allow the dip to cool a few minutes after baking for optimal consistency before serving.
