Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Assembly

  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Water (for sealing edges)

Frying

  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil), enough to submerge egg rols

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and chopped green onions. Mix well until everything is evenly coated and creamy.
  2. Assemble the Egg Rols: Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the buffalo chicken filling near one corner, leaving room to fold. Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly until sealed, using a dab of water on the edge to glue it closed.
  3. Heat the Oil: Pour oil into a deep skillet or fryer and heat it over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking, around 350°F (175°C) if using a thermometer.
  4. Fry the Egg Rols: Carefully place assembled egg rols into the hot oil in batches, frying each side for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  5. Serve Warm: Serve your Buffalo Chicken Egg Rols immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside fresh veggies for a crunchy contrast.

Notes

  • Use shredded rotisserie chicken for convenience and flavor.
  • Do not overfill egg roll wrappers to prevent bursting during frying.
  • Seal edges properly using water or egg wash to keep egg rols intact.
  • Maintain oil temperature around 350°F (175°C) to avoid greasy or undercooked egg rolls.
  • Drain cooked egg rolls well on paper towels for maximum crispiness.
