Ingredients

Scale

Rolls & Glaze

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or sliced
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crispy
  • 68 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Maple Glaze: Combine melted butter and pure maple syrup in a small bowl to create the glaze that will be brushed on the Hawaiian rolls before baking.
  2. Prep the Chicken and Bacon: Cook chicken by roasting, grilling, or use shredded leftover chicken. Crisp bacon in a skillet or oven until golden and crunchy.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally but keep connected at the bottom. Spread ranch dressing evenly over the bottom halves, then layer chicken, bacon, and cheese slices on top.
  4. Add the Glaze and Bake: Place the top halves back on the sliders, brush the maple glaze evenly over the tops, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes until cheese melts and rolls are golden and caramelized.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions over the sliders after baking, slice them apart, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft Hawaiian rolls for best texture.
  • Don’t overload the filling to keep sliders neat and easy to eat.
  • Brush the glaze evenly for consistent sweetness and a golden crust.
  • Slightly warm ranch dressing to intensify flavors.
  • Let sliders rest a few minutes after baking for flavors to meld and cheese to firm slightly.
