Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 ears Fresh Corn on the Cob, husked and silk removed
  • 1 cup Water

Optional Ingredients

  • Salt, a pinch (to taste)
  • Butter, for serving
  • Herbs or spices such as paprika, chili powder, fresh parsley, rosemary, or thyme

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Corn: Peel back the husks of each ear of corn and remove all silk strands carefully. You may leave the ears whole or cut them in half to better fit your Instant Pot.
  2. Add Water to the Instant Pot: Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot inner pot. This water will generate the steam needed for even cooking.
  3. Place Corn on the Trivet: Insert a steaming rack or trivet inside the Instant Pot and arrange the corn ears on top. Ensure the corn is above the water, not submerged.
  4. Pressure Cook: Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 2 to 4 minutes, adjusting time based on ear size and desired tenderness.
  5. Quick Release and Serve: After cooking, carefully perform a quick release to vent steam. Remove corn with tongs and immediately brush with butter, sprinkle salt, or add your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Use the freshest corn available for best flavor and juiciness.
  • Always use the trivet to keep corn out of the water and ensure steaming, not boiling.
  • Adjust cooking time: smaller ears require less time, start with 2 minutes.
  • Add salt and seasoning after cooking to prevent tough kernels.
  • Use quick release to avoid overcooking and mushy corn.
