Coffee Infusion

  • 1/4 cup Strong Espresso or Coffee, cooled

Mascarpone Topping

  • 1 cup (225g) Mascarpone Cheese
  • 1/4 cup (30g) Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Cooled Espresso or Coffee

Garnish

  • Cocoa Powder (for dusting)
  • Finely Chopped Dark Chocolate or Chocolate Shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coffee Infusion: Brew a strong espresso or coffee and set it aside to cool. This intense coffee will infuse the brownies with the classic tiramisu essence.
  2. Make the Brownie Base: Melt the butter and combine it with sugar and cocoa powder in a mixing bowl. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add the flour to create a thick, fudgy batter. Optionally, fold in chocolate chips for extra chocolate flavor.
  3. Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into a greased baking pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, until just set but still moist inside. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  4. Prepare the Mascarpone Topping: Whip mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth. Gently fold in the cooled coffee for that unmistakable tiramisu flavor.
  5. Assemble and Chill: Spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer. Dust the top with cocoa powder or finely grated chocolate. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set flavors and texture beautifully.
